PERSEPOLIS, GATE OF ALL NATION & THE APADANA PALACE

Persepolis, the ancient capital of ancient Persia and one of the famous historical heritage of Persian Achaemenid Emperor, Cyrus the Great (ca. 600–530 BC). It has been recognised a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1979. Persepolis is a vast site and this model includes some parts of it, namely, the entrance stairs, Gate of All Nations, and the Apadana palace. Although many parts of the Persepolis disappeared throughout centuries, the existing relics and figurative frescoes take us back to the ancient times.  Persepolis is situated 60 km from the city of Shiraz in central Iran.
