Our peer-reviewed academic conferences and workshops are integral to the Silk Cities' mission. Establishing Silk Cities as an independent thought leader, we first identify underexplored, yet real-world crucial issues being faced by developing nations. Those issues are always interdisciplinary and transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries as real life is.
We then conceptualise interdisciplinary peer-reviewed conferences and projects to bring together globally dispersed knowledge and seek partnerships with other forward-looking organisations to implement them.
Our frontier conferences create momentum for further explorations of those matters and set new directions for research, policy and practice. While over 1,000 individual researchers and practitioners so far directly participated in our international conferences, the impact of our conferences spread globally through our peer-reviewed publications and open-access eBooks we develop after the completion of those knowledge exchange events.
