ADVANCE RESEARCH WORKSHOPS
Embark on an enriching academic venture with our Advanced Research Workshops, designed to propel your understanding and proficiency in urban and development studies. Over six meticulously curated sessions, delve into the intricacies of international urban contexts, methodologies, and research approaches led by esteemed academics and researchers. Each training programme, spanning 90 to 120 minutes, offers a unique opportunity to engage first hand with major research projects, dissecting PhD-level endeavours, understanding fundamental components from research questions to practical challenges, and exploring diverse methodological approaches across global contexts.
Our training workshops are crafted to be interactive and personalised, providing a platform for participants to showcase their research, receive constructive feedback from peers and a dedicated scientific committee member, and engage in stimulating group discussions. Participants actively shape these sessions by submitting key questions beforehand, shaping training workshops that directly address their queries and concerns. Additionally, a carefully curated reading list primes participants with relevant literature prior to the training programmes, fostering a more profound engagement with the subject matter.
The program seamlessly blends learning and sharing: Three sessions featuring invited academics and researchers dive deep into their seminal projects, while another three sessions foster a peer-to-peer learning environment, allowing participants to present their work and gain insights from their peers and expert mentors.
Inclusivity is paramount; our commitment to world-class quality ensures that each participant receives personalised attention and guidance, fostering an environment of growth and refinement.
This immersive experience spans a minimum of 12 hours of guided reading and dynamic, interactive training programmes, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and skill development in research methodology and presentation.
